While the beauty industry relies heavily on glamour, technology and world-class marketing techniques, wouldn't it be nice to find out how to get the basics right.

Beautiful skin tips

  • Drink plenty of clean Pureau water (at least 6-8 glasses per day, and more if exercising) to keep your skin hydrated and to aid the body in eliminating toxins. A glass of warm water with a squeeze of lemon juice is a cleansing way to start your day.
  • Give your circulation a boost by dry skin brushing for 5 minutes a day before a morning shower. This is a great way to encourage your body to release its toxic deposits. Using a soft-bristle brush, start from your feet and brush upwards. Then starting at your fingers, brush down your arms towards your heart.
  • Aerobic exercise increases the size of your capillaries allowing more oxygen and nutrients to the skin to give you a healthy glow! Regular moderate exercise can also enhance nutrient absorption.
  • The skin on your hands is one of the greatest indicators of your age, so if your hands are constantly exposed to the elements, use a sunscreen daily.
  • Yoga can lower the stress hormones that can create havoc with your skin. The breathing techniques and the physical postures can increase your circulation and bring rich nutrients and oxygen to the skin. It can also have an anti-ageing effect by switching on the calming side of your nervous system. Some say it even softens facial lines and wrinkles for a natural facelift!
  • Consider whipping up your own natural beauty treatments. Swap your regular moisturizer with Olive Oil which is full of Anti-oxidants and will make your skin feel soft and supple, or applying honey to the face for approximately 30 minutes will leave your skin smooth and nourished.
  • Be proud of your beautiful radiant skin, and keep your makeup natural so that your skin shines through. Foundation should be kept light for daytime and only conceal where needed. Bronzer is a great way to add some colour and contour, without a heavy cover up.
