Healthy Breakfast Shake
Combine the following ingredients into a blender:
- 1 cup Rice or Soy Milk
- 1 scoop Juice Plus+ Complete
- 1 Tablespoon Brewer's yeast
- 1 Tablespoon Golden organic Flax seeds (grind them in a grinder or high powered blender)
- 1 banana
- 1 1/2 cups frozen berries
- 1/2 cup water
Note:
- Brewer's Yeast is one of the best sources of B complex vitamins (great for stress). Ensure you use Brewer's Yeast (not Nutritional Yeast)
- Flax seeds are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, lignans and fiber.
Tip:
- Serve and consume immediately to enjoy the most nutrition.
Red Cabbage salad
Ingredients:
- ½ red cabbage - wash the cabbage, remove the white core and shave into thin slices
- 4 shallots - chopped
- Handful of fresh basil leaves – chopped
- Half red capsicum – chopped
- Half cup raw sliced almonds – dry coast the almonds in a pan until lightly golden
Method:
- Combine all ingredients into a large salad bowl.
Dressing:
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Tamari (wheat free Soya sauce)
- Dijon Mustard
Mix the dressing ingredients together to taste. Toss dressing through the salad and serve immediately.
Tip:
- It's best to dress the salad immediately before serving, so hold off on dressing any leftover salad until ready to eat.
